The villages are our top recommendation for your Saturday. In Mountain Brook, there are three villages with shops and restaurants that you cannot miss. Mountain Brook Village is the biggest and includes the Grand Bohemian hotel, English Village is the most picturesque, and Crestline Village is the most lively. They are so charming and unique and would make for a great way to spend your Saturday.
Mountain Brook Village favorites: Ladybird Taco for breakfast, Gilchrist or Brick & Tin for lunch, and for shopping: A'Mano, Atelier, M Cory, Milla, Tulipano, Tom Beckbe, Harrison's, and much more!
English Village favorites: Continental Bakery for breakfast, Fridas for lunch, Vino for dinner (takes reservations), Le Weekend (my favorite) to shop!
Crestline Village favorites: Church street coffee for breakfast, the original Zoes for lunch or Taco Mama, Oteys for a drink, LaPaz for dinner, and shopping at Alkmy, Mobley and Sons, and the Pants Store!
The cafe is our favorite dinner spot and where we got engaged! There is a cafe side (Bottega Cafe) and also Bottega Dining Room. Only the dining room takes reservations.
Great dinner option that takes reservations but does not require them. Amazing patio experience.
Madeline and Kody's favorite lunch spot. An old fashioned soda fountain lunch stop with the best chicken salad and pimento cheese.
Walkable from the Grand Bohemian and Mountain Brook Village! The bride grew up across the street :)
For anyone wanting to experience that downtown area of Birmingham, the following restaurants are our favorites:
Le Fresca (Kody and Madeline's first date)
El Barrio
The Essential
Back Forty
Avondale Brewing
